On September 24, 1993, representatives from the then three local CASA programs (Jefferson, Madison, and Shelby) met and voted to establish a formal Alabama State CASA Network. The acknowledged purpose of the CASA Network is to provide for the promotion, development, improvement and expansion of CASA programs throughout the state.

The Alabama CASA Network, Inc. was incorporated in 1997. Below is a currrent list of CASA programs in Alabama - by county - and the year of their establishment. 57 Alabama counties do not have CASA programs!!

 

  • Jefferson County - 1985
  • Madison County - 1989
  • Shelby County - 1992
  • Marshall County - 1996
  • Mobile County - 1997
  • Lauderdale County - 2002
  • Blount County - 2004
  • Cullman County - 2008
  • Colbert County - 2009
  • Autauga County - 2009 (Provisional)
